On Wednesday, March 17th, Fox News's Bret Baier took on President Obama and his Healthcare Reform
agenda. During the interview, the President told Bret that, "....by the time [the bill] is voted on,
not only I will know what's in it, but you will know, because it's
gonna be posted..." Despite the fact that 73% of the American people want Congress to scrap the current bill and
start over, it seems inevitable that we will have a vote by the end of this weekend with a total disregard for the will
of the people. The White House has now posted the bill and you can find out what's in it at the same time the President
does by clicking here. Find out what is written in the Reconciliation Bill
(HR 4872) by clicking here. Review the House Bill as approved by the Senate on 12/24/09 by clicking here.
The CBO scored the Healthcare Bill that Congress
will be voting on this weekend and, despite the fact that you may have heard Nancy Pelosi say that she liked the numbers because
this was proof that they will be reducing the deficit by $130 billion for the first decade, here is the real breakdown of
what the details of the CBO indicate: - In order for the bill to save $130
billion, it will cost $2.4 TRILLION.
- Healthcare premiums will rise an average
of 10-13%.
- There will be an estimated $644 billion in tax hikes.
- The bill will add approximately 16 million low-income Americans to the Medicaid rolls which will
shift future cost to the states.
- Approximately 19 million student loans
will be overcharged to help pay for a portion of the healthcare bill.
